Uhuru hands over instruments of power to Ruto
President Uhuru Kenyatta has handed the instruments of power to his successor President William Ruto.
Among the items Dr Ruto received from his predecessor were, an edition of the Kenya Constitution 2010 and the ceremonial military sword.
In Kenyan military tradition, the bearer of the sword is regarded as the Commander in Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces.
