Kenyan pros set for fourth leg of Mena Tour in Dubai

Kenyan professional golfers Greg Snow, Abdul Sihag and Hardeep Thethy now move to the Al Badia Golf Club in Dubai this Sunday for the fourth leg of the 2014 Mena Golf Tour.

Snow and Sihag both made the top 50 in the Dubai Creek Open early this week.

Royal Nairobi Golf Club's Snow managed to pick up a few birdies in the final round for 72 to finish with seven over par 220 and in 37th place overall which earned him $410.

He had shot 73, and 75 in the first two rounds. Sihag - who started well with a level par 71 - fired two identical 75 for 222 to finish in 46th place.

This is his first time in the tour and his second tournament, having played his maiden pro tournament in Kisumu during the KCB Tour. However, the third player, Hardeep Thethy, was not able to make it to the money list after a 79 in the second round.

Winning the tournament was England's Luke Joy on five under par 208 following rounds of 70, 70 and 68 tying with Trevor Marshall of Wales - who lost in the play off.

The three Kenyans will miss the grand finale of this year's KCB Tour at Nyali Golf and Country Club Mombasa next week where a total of Sh3 million will be at stake, with the winner taking home Sh510,000. So far entries have been received from Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda.
