“I first thought it was one of those false text messages,” Karanja said. “I went to withdraw Sh70,000 but I only believed after I got a call from SportPesa on Monday when I was betting for this week at Murunyu Market centre.”

Karanja, who thanked SportPesa for the hugely transforming his life through the jackpot, said he plans to venture in transport business. He said he plans wo buy his own fleet of motorcycles and investing the rest on other business ideas.

“I was almost hitting the entire Jackpot, were it not for the Wolves versus Hull City game, which I had predicted a Home Win, but the game ended in a Draw,” said Karanja.
