Tusker coach Robert Matano has lauded forward Kevin “Ade” Omondi for his contribution in the last two matches.

Omondi, who joined the side on December 7 from champions Gor Mahia, has recorded a goal and an assist in the last two games despite being introduced as a substitute on both occasions.

“We recruited him so he can help us and he is coming up well,” Matano said of the former Kenyan international who came off the bench to net his first goal in a 3-0 win over Mount Kenya United on December 23.

On Saturday, he provided an assist for the third goal in the 3-1 win over Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) a minute after replacing Sydney Ochieng' on 75 minutes.

“You know he was not training regularly with Gor Mahia, we are trying to give him a chance to come up because he is a good player,” added Matano.

Matano was pleased with his arsenal for posting another emphatic win as the pursuit for the title gathers pace.

“They played well especially in the second half, they came up strong as we planned and got goals,” the former AFC Leopards coach asserted.

“Even though we conceded an easy goal, that’s part of the game, you cannot defend every situation, at some point there’s lack of concentration which we shall work on.”

The brewers, eleven-time champions, face Vihiga United on Wednesday.
