Pierre – Emerick Aubameyang, Andre Ayew, Riyad Mahrez, Sadio Mane and Yaya Touré make up the five-man shortlist for this year’s award.

The winner will be decided by fans from across the world, who have until November 26 to vote for the player of their choice.
Fans can vote for their favourite player on the official BBC African football website.
