Mugithi extravaganza lined up for Golden Palm Breeze Hotel in Kenol tonight

For rhumba and mugithi fans at Kenol, Murang’a and its environs, a special rhumba and mugithi extravaganza is lined up tonight at the Golden Palm Breeze Hotel.
The show will feature performances by Freshley Mwamburi of Stella Wangu fame alongside veteran Solomon Kombo (Jambo Experience Band) and Joe Mopero of the Heri Nyumbani song fame.
The show is among the regular weekend shows at the hotel located at the Murang'a and Makuyu road junction. Speaking to Saturday Nation earlier this week, Mopero said the shows will also incorporate popular Kikuyu oldies also known as ‘‘Ngogoyo mix ’’.
As he pointed out it was their intention to revive some of the best of the Kikuyu oldies alongside oldies from other parts of Kenya during live shows.
Kombo teams up with Mwamburi to give the best of Swahili rhumba and other popular Coastal beats. Simlar shows will be held at the same spot next weekend.
