Child stars gone bad

There’s no way a “Child Stars Gone Bad” list can be complete without Lindsay Lohan.

As a child star Lindsay Lohan was the adorable freckled little girl that wormed her way into our hearts in the movie Parent Trap, and in some interviews still as a little girl, she wanted to keep acting.

Well, she is not doing any of that anymore. Instead she is one messed up adult. Lindsay has been embroiled in legal troubles most of her adult life — drunk driving, addiction to cocaine, rehab stints, missing or showing up late to community service, ditching court appearances, tax evasion….

We could spend the whole day recounting her misdemeanors but the fact remains that people keep giving her second and third chances because she is always making the entertainment news and gossip sites and people love watching a train wreck.

And we are still waiting for her to drop the next bombshell, because Lilo or the cracken as she is popularly known for snorting cocaine, will not disappoint.

MILEY CYRUS

Miley Cyrus’ outrageous  performance at the MTV Video Music Awards left the whole world talking, the huge dancing teddy bears: the twerking (twerking is now a word in the Oxford Dictionary!) the crotch grabbing, tongue thrusting and the lap dance to Robin Thicke was all too much and painful to watch for the girl formerly known as Hannah Montana.

Her choice of costume for her performance? A nude/flesh coloured bikini.

Needless to say, Miley is a long way from the cute and innocent girl next door we all thought she would grow up to be.

The shocking performance elicited some media reaction with some terming it as desperate and something in between sad and disgusting.

Real time host Bill Maher tweeted “Haven’t been in a strip club in a while, but good to see nothing has changed.”

Another TV anchor, Mika Brzezinski, did not see anything funny or entertaining about the performance stated:
“That young lady who is 20, is obviously deeply troubled, deeply disturbed. Probably has a confidence issue, probably an eating disorder. And I don’t think anybody should have put her up on stage. That was disgusting.”

Trouble may have started brewing up when the pop star cut her hair in favor of a shorter do and revamped her image to look more “street”. She then posted a couple of videos of her twerking and some selfies with her tongue of doom.

The pop star has been accused of trying to act black to which she responded “I know what colour my skin is.

You can stop with the friendly reminders b***ch.” Miley has also on occasion been photographed on vacation wearing nothing but a T-shirt while smoking weed on a balcony.

Surprisingly enough, Miley’s attention grabbing antics have not caused the music industry to take her less seriously because a few days later she was seen posing for a photograph with Wiz Khalifa.

JUSTIN BIEBER

Justin Bieber is slowly but surely making his way into the list of child stars going bad, or has he already?

The baby-faced singer who got discovered at the age of 13 by R-n-B superstar Usher, is nowadays making the news more for his childlike tantrums and frankly diva behavior than his music.

And to defend himself and his moronic behaviour, he takes to  Twitter to explain that no one understands him or what he is going through, and that no one really knows him because we all just assume his public figure is a representation of the real him.

He recently went nuts and ripped his shirt off because a party goer allegedly was preventing a girl from hitting on him.

While drugs have been found on his tour bus, pictures have also emerged of him and his rapper friend Lil Twist smoking pot.

At a concert in New Jersey, Justin was not very thrilled when fans threw things on stage, so he decided to literally take matters into his own hands.

He shoved a fan’s iPhone down his pants and then returned it to her. How classy!

From bar fights to peeing in a bucket in a New York restaurant (while telling his friends they are lucky to have a celeb peeing in such a place) and cursing off at ex President Bill Clinton, the Biebs is in a free fall to becoming the next Amanda Bynes or Lindsay Lohan.

AMANDA BYNES

Remember the Amanda show, a sketch comedy that starred Amanda Bynes and was set in a fictional universe with staged mishaps?

Well, Amanda’s life right now might be deemed one huge mishap and she might be living in a fictional world! Whether Amanda Bynes is just a child star gone bad or mad, is yet to be determined.

In 2012 the former Nickelodeon child star was arrested for drunk driving and after her mug shot from that incident everything else went downhill.

The child star also had a meltdown in a cup cake shop and while in a tanning salon decided to stand gloriously naked in the tanning salon lobby.

She has been involved in hit and runs which were settled out of court, dropped by her lawyer and if that was not bad enough, her agent dropped her too.

The drama was getting too much. She also accused a police officer of inappropriate behavior during a drug test after she was caught smoking marijuana.

Amanda’s crazy whirlwind storm does not just stop there, she has on several occasions decided to attack her fellow celebrities on twitter calling them ugly.

In May 2013, she attacked Rihanna on twitter by bringing up her tumultuous relationship with Chris Brown and implying that she (Rihanna) was desperate to find a lover.
“@rihanna you look so ugly tryin (sic) to be white.”

But the biggest shocker of all came when Amanda tweeted “I want @drake to murder my v*****a” That must have shocked Drake to the core more than anyone else.
