James Duckworth from Bury, Greater Manchester - who consumed up to 40 bags of ready salted crisps a week prior to the hypnotherapy has finally been freed of his unhealthy habit after 10 years gorging on the snacks.

The 17 year old - who suffers from a Selective Eating Disorder - was often forced to leave the room when he was surrounded by people eating anything other than crisps and is thrilled to have finally kicked the addiction, reports The Mirror newspaper.

He said: "I hated all kinds of 'wet food', like ketchup or tinned spaghetti and couldn't be in the same room if people were eating baked beans. Foods like that would make me physically cringe."
