The contest will run from December 26 to December 31, in Webuye town, Bungoma County. It will feature 24 teams competing in Kenya’s three favourite sports – football, rugby, and basketball.
The competition has the following prize pool:
Football: 1st place – Ksh50,000; 2nd place – Ksh30,000; 3rd place – Ksh20,000
Rugby: 1st place – Ksh20,000; 2nd place – Ksh15,000; 3rd place – Ksh10,000
Basketball: 1st place – Ksh15,000; 2nd place – Ksh10,000; 3rd place – Ksh8,000
1XBet states that while sponsoring the sports festival adds to its social responsibility, it will offer more beyond the tournament. “Traditionally, our company pays great attention to supporting sports competitions because we believe sports development improves the country’s health. Bungoma County is famed as a home of sports talent, and actively supplies players to national teams. The final matches are expected to attract more than 5,000 spectators.
