Tusker striker joins Zambian side Napsa Stars

- At Napsa, Timothy joins former Gor Mahia goalkeeper Shaban Odhoji, who joined the club at the beginning of the year. Nkana FC duo Musa Mohammed and midfielder Duncan Otieno are also in talks with the club over possible moves according to a reliable source.
- "Shaban was my teammate at Gor Mahia and we have been in talks. He encouraged me to take the opportunity and he has really welcomed me well. There are other Kenyans plying their trade in Zambia and they also convinced me to join them here," Otieno said.
Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Tusker FC have lost striker Timothy Otieno, who is in Lusaka to complete a move to Zambian Super League (ZSL) side, Napsa Stars.
The player revealed to Nation Sport that he has already put pen to paper.
"I have signed a two-year deal at Napsa Stars and I am looking forward to this new challenge in my career," Otieno said Monday.
Otieno, who joined Tusker from KPL champions Gor Mahia in 2017, says he is eager to use the opportunity at Napsa Stars as a stepping stone.

"Napsa has given me a better offer than what I had at Tusker and the fact that they will also play in Caf competitions next season, played a huge role in my decision to sign for the club," he said.
"Unlike in Kenya, most ZSL games are live on SuperSport. The exposure is higher and it is also easier to get footage. I want to use this opportunity to get better and show my talent to a bigger audience. I am sure I will give my best to Napsa and move to a bigger team in Africa or Europe in the near future," he added.
Otieno was the leading scorer in the aborted 2019/20 KPL season with 15 goals. His contract with the Brewers lapses in December and Team Manager George Opondo has admitted the player is on his way out.

"There's some development in regards to Otieno's stay at the club, but this will be officially confirmed before the close of business today," Opondo told Nation Sport.
