Sofapaka coach John Baraza, a former Harambee Stars striker, said the game was tight with Silibwet players having exhibited talent and potential to take the club to the next level.

“We came here expecting to net many goals but we found our hosts a tough team. They exhibited a lot of talent, discipline and a good game,” said Baraza.

Silibwet FC’s team manager Eric Rono said he was happy his players were able to hold the strong Sofapaka team.

“It is the first time this year that we are hosting a highly-ranked team in the country in the refurbished Silibwet playgrounds,” said Rono who was flanked by coach Patrick Otuti.

Silibwet were recently elevated to the NSL and join premiership side Zoo as the only two highly-ranked South Rift region clubs.
