Kenya’s hopes of qualifying for the 2022 Amputee World Cup hang by a thread after they lost 4-0 to Ghana in the quarterfinals of the Cup of African Nations for Amputees Football (Canaf) Wednesday.

Only the top four teams in the continental event, which is taking place in Dar es Salam in Tanzania, qualify for the World Cup which will be staged in Turkey. 

For Kenya to make their third appearance in the global championships they must now finish fifth, and pray that world champions Angola trounce Egypt in the day's other quarterfinal.

Angola’s progress to semi-finals will earn the fifth team a ticket to the global championships since the South African nation will qualify as defending champions,

In the clash against Ghana, Kenya were reduced to a man less after Albert Mwakenga was sent off in the first half.
