The embattled Migori Governor Okoth Obado has reported to his office for the first time after spending more than a month in remand in Nairobi.
He arrived at his office Monday morning where he was welcomed by his jubilant staff and supporters.
The county chief later held a series of meetings with his senior officers who briefed him on the performance of their departments while he was away.
Some members of the public also got an opportunity to meet him and wish him well.

The governor's office has been dormant since his arrest and charging with the murder of his lover and Rongo University student Sharon Otieno.
Mr Obado was released on bail on Wednesday by the High Court Judge Jessie Lessit.
Mr Obado was driven to his office from his rented house in Migori town.
This is after the bond terms barred him from setting foot on his palatial home in Rapogi which is less than 20 kilometres from the Homa Bay County border.
His personal effects were brought in from the Rapogi home immediately he arrived from Nairobi at the weekend.
The Migori house belongs to BAT Kenya and was rented out by the county administration in 2014.
Mr Obado vacated the Migori house three years ago after his Rapogi house was completed.
The court had ordered thaT he stays at least 20 kilometres away from the boundary of Homa Bay county where Ms Otieno’s parents live.
