18 dead in Togo car accident

Police in Togo are investigating an accident in the northern region of Kara that left 18 people dead and 40 others seriously injured.
The incident occured on Sunday evening in the mountainous area about 450 kilometers from the capital Lomé.
It is said that the truck was travelling from the capital when it developed mechanical problems and rammed into a bus that was headed in the opposite direction.
