Sauti Sol’s Polycarp Otieno produced Tanzania’s Lady JayDee’s new song

Sauti Sol guitarist Polycarp Otieno has confirmed that he produced Lady Jay Dee’s latest release, 'Sawa Na Wao'.

He also said he is whipping up something with singer Dela after the 'Mafeelings' musician posted a photo of the two on instagram in a studio setting, with the caption: “Cooking”.

The photo already had people questioning whether they were working on releasing another sensational song like the Hello Adele cover done in Kiswahili.

“We are always working on something with Dela; we have several stuff going and, in a few weeks or a month to come, fans will get a taste of it. I’m producing and arranging but it’s her work,” Polycarp told Showbuzz.

On Lady Jay Dee’s 'Sawa Na Wao', he said: “We’ve known each other for a while. I know her manager, who is also Alikiba’s manager. I produced Unconditionally Bae and she contacted me to do something with Lady JayDee. We have done three songs together and 'Sawa Wa Nao' is the first that she has released,” said Polycarp.

Plans to shoot the video for the single are underway but Polycarp says: “Our schedules are always clashing because we are travelling so much. We are yet to find a suitable time that suits us.”
