Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentist Union (KMPDU) Nyanza branch officials said the work boycott would continue until the county government address the grievances raised. The 60 doctors are protesting poor working conditions and demanding promotions and pay arrears dating back to 2017.
KMPDU branch secretary Lameck Omweri accused the county government for failing to implement an agreement signed with the union last month.
Dr Omweri said the devolved government has not invited the union for negotiations to resolve the dispute and end the strike.
