A children’s home celebrated the 52nd birthday of President Uhuru Kenyatta by planting trees, cutting a cake and sharing food together at Mutarakwa village in Limuru sub-county on Saturday.

The 70 children of Body of Christ Home started by planting 52 tree seedlings to signify the number of years since President Kenyatta was born on 26 October 1961.

The children were led by the Founder of ‘We Care Club’, Steve Njoroge, an environmental club that has planted thousands of trees in different parts of Kenya.

They cut a cake bearing the message "Happy Green Birthday H.E. The President Uhuru Kenyatta from the We Care Club".

The children wished the President wisdom in his years of leading the country, and a long life full of life and strength.
