Ruto responds to leaked audio

Deputy President William Ruto has responded to an audio clip that captured him narrating a near altercation with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

In the leaked clip, Ruto allegedly confessed that he almost slapped Uhuru for willing to cede after the Supreme Court annulled their 2017 presidential election win.

It is alleged that the audio clip is a leaked recording of a recent private meeting where the DP hosted Kikuyu elders from Kiambu on Friday 1st July 2022.
