Tharaka-Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki freed on bail
The Anti-Corruption Court on Wednesday morning Tharaka-Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki on Sh6 million cash bail in the Sh34 million graft case against him and 20 others.
The County boss has also been barred from accessing his office until the case is heard and determined.
They were charged before Chief Magistrate Douglas Ogoti with 16 offences on Tuesday, following an investigation by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) into allegations of an irregular waste incinerator tender.
Four companies are also in court over the matter, bring the total number of accused parties to 21.
