President Yoweri Museveni's inauguration in Uganda

At least 10 African Heads of State arrived in Uganda Tuesday and Wednesday to witness the swearing-in ceremony of President Yoweri Museveni who has been in power since 1986.

They include President Uhuru Kenyatta (Kenya), Évariste Ndayishimiye (Burundi), Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed (Somalia), Emmerson Mnangagwa (Zimbabwe), Salva Kiir (South Sudan), Hage Gottfried Geingob (Namibia) and Alpha Conde (Guinea).

Others are Sahle-Work Zewde (Federal Republic of Ethiopia), Félix Tshisekedi (Democratic Republic of Congo), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo (Ghana), and Samia Suluhu (Tanzania) who arrived at Entebbe on Wednesday.

The presidents were received by Uganda's State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Henry Oryem Okello, at Entebbe Airport ahead of President Museveni’s swearing-in ceremony for his sixth-elective term of office at Kololo Independence Grounds.

On Tuesday evening, president Museveni treated his counterparts to a state dinner at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
