Plane carrying US marines crash-lands on Ugandan road
Business was brought to a standstill on Friday after a plane ran out of fuel and crash-landed on Mityana Road in Uganda.
The N604AR, carrying nine US marines, landed at Kiwawu, 22 kilometres from Mityana District.
Mityana Resident District Commissioner Joel Walusimbi confirmed the incident saying: “The pilot had to land in the middle of the road.”
Police said the plane was headed to Juba, South Sudan, from Entebbe International Airport.
No casualties were reported.
