Controversial rapper Colonel Moustapha will have to redo the video of his yet to be released single "Singida Dodoma" after being paid Sh 700,000 for damages by a renowned politician whose girlfriend was featured on the songs video as the main video vixen.

The rapper, in an earlier interview with Nation.co.ke, claimed the video was "worse than Sauti Sol's "Nishike" and "would not be played locally because of its explicit content".

Fans of the drama king will have to wait much longer for the release of the video that was set to be launched over the weekend before Moustapha was arrested in Ogopa Deajays studios.

Drama started last week when Moustapha released a video teaser that went viral which featured the vixen who happens to be a politician's girlfriend or "clande" as it is popularly referred to locally.

He was arrested by policemen who traced him to Ogopa Dejays studios who were acting on orders from the politician.

GRILLED FOR MORE THAN FIVE HOURS

Moustapha was grilled for more than five hours at the DCI headquarters and his cell phone was seized in search of evidence on whether his relationship with the video vixen was sexual in nature.

“I was questioned about my relationship with the said model vixen, my phone was confiscated and the detectives went through my messages to see whether there was an exchange of sex texts between me and her. The politician was really worried that I could be having an affair with her side dish which is not true,” Moustapha narrated.

After the grilling, he was asked to edit out the vixen out of the video and Moustapha asked to be paid the cost of the damages that total up to Sh700,000, the amount that went into production.

“I was asked to edit the vixen out of the video and her being the main character of the song. I asked to be paid the damage cost of not less than Sh700,000 that went into production. He has responded, he will pay the damage cost I asked for and thus I have no choice but to redo the video,” Moustapha told Nation.co.ke.

This would have been Moustapha’s’ first single this year after he released 'Lenga Stress’ sometime last year that did pretty well.
