Nurse charged with attempt to burn ICU

What you need to know:

  • According to the charge sheet, she wilfully and unlawfully set on fire a kitchen near the ICU with the intent to see the fire spread to the unit.

A nurse at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) has been charged with attempted arson.

Ms Elizabeth Kavosa Nasongo was arraigned before Eldoret Chief Magistrate Charles Obulutsa on Wednesday.

The charge sheet stated that on December 4 at the hospital, she wilfully and unlawfully set on fire a kitchen near the ICU with the intent to see the fire spread to the unit.

The magistrate released her on a bond.
