Househelp stabs her employer to death, flees

A house help stabbed her employer to death in Kiambu in an unclear circumstances on Saturday. The killer, said to be from Western Kenya, fled after the act. She reportedly attacked her boss from behind with a kitchen knife, locked the house and escaped. PHOTO/FILE

A house help stabbed her employer to death in Kiambu in an unclear circumstances on Saturday.

The woman was killed at Turitu estate near Kiambu town on Saturday afternoon.

The killer, said to be from Western Kenya, fled after the act. She reportedly attacked her boss from behind with a kitchen knife, locked the house and escaped.

The victim, Jane Wairimu Ngacha who was in her early 30s, was found by her husband lying in a pool of blood at 2am when he got home.

She had been stabbed in the back.

Only her youngest child, aged two years, was at the house at the time, asleep.

Her eldest daughter had reportedly been taken to a salon by the killer before she escaped.

The girl stayed at their neighbour’s home after she returned from the salon and found the house locked.

Her father, a Nairobi-based lawyer, said the house help had worked for them for only three weeks.

Kiambu police divisional commander Stephen Ngetich said the they were tracking the suspect.
