The National Youth Council is calling on Governor Wycliffe Wangamati to ensure he exhausts all avenues of dispute resolution before recommending the dissolution of the county government.

Mr Moses Wanyama, the Bungoma chairman of the council, said services had suffered owing to squabbles between the county government and the assembly.

Speaking during a press briefing on Tuesday, he said: “Senator Moses Wetang’ula and Woman Rep Catherine Wambilianga should advise both sides to ensure that there is service delivery since dissolution of the county government will not add value to the electorate,” he said.

He advised the governor to start mediation talks. “The governor should advise his team to respect the assembly to reduce tension since dissolution of the county government adds no value,” said Mr Wanyama.
