Interpol issues arrest warrant for Mombasa businessman Feisal Ali Mohamed over illegal ivory trade

Interpol has issued an international warrant of arrest for Mombasa businessman Feisal Ali Mohamed over illegal ivory trade.
The red alert notice was issued on Wednesday against the businessman in connection with the seizure of 228 tusks in Mombasa in June this year.
Interpol is the world's largest international police organisation.
According to Interpol, Mr Mohamed is a suspected ivory trafficker and has been a fugitive from the law since early June this year, when an arrest warrant was issued against him by the Kenya police.
The warrant was issued in connection with the seizure of 228 tusks and 74 ivory pieces weighing well over two tonnes at a motor vehicle warehouse in Mombasa.
After the seizure, two men were arrested, but Feisal Ali Mohamed, who is believed to be the ringleader, escaped arrest and has been on the run since.
According to the red notice on Interpol's website, the 46-year-old Kenyan is wanted for "dealing in wildlife trophies".
