Kenyans impress in IPSC African tourney

What you need to know:

  • In the Best Ladies category, Kenyan star Agnes Muchiri of DCI won the silver medal.
  • A total of 16 shooters represented Kenya in this year’s edition.

Master Ibrahim Ndung'u led the Kenyan team to register good results in this year's edition of the International Practical Shooting Confederation {IPSC} African competition held at the Frontier Shooting Range in the picturesque city of Matlosana, South Africa.

Ndung'u of Mombasa's Bamburi Rifle Club led his team, which included ⁠Moris Njagi, ⁠Ashu Sennik and ⁠Suhayb Timimi to win a silver medal for Kenya in the production Division which hosts South Africa won gold.  

"This year's competition was very tough, we fought and finished second, which is a silver medal in the production division, and our host South Africans made good use of their home ground to win gold" said Master Ibrahim Ndungu.

Meanwhile, the team of Master Sammy Onyango, Gerald Edo and ⁠Mohamed Aden won the bronze medal in the Production Optic category, while Issa Issa, ⁠Jasmeer Syan and ⁠Mohamed Ramadhan finished third in the open Division category.

In the Best Ladies category, Kenyan star Agnes Muchiri of DCI won the silver medal.

A total of 16 shooters represented Kenya in this year’s edition.
