How many animals can Bolt outrun?

Usain Bolt may be the fastest known man alive, but he’s no match for a number of animals, both wild and domestic.

A cheetah being the fastest land animal capable of attaining 70 miles per hour, would be about 46.5 miles per hour faster than Usain who averages 23.5mph.

Throw in an Antelope, Lion, Wildebeest, and a Quarter Horse (an American breed of horse very good in short sprints) and Mr Bolt would be quite a distance behind.

The African Zebra, Ostrich, Hyena and Giraffe boast of speeds between 30-40 miles per hour.

The Australian Kangaroo, the Grizzly Bear, Warthog and not surprisingly a domestic cat, clock in at a quick 30 mph.

The fastest Elephant is only slightly faster than Bolt, reaching speeds of up to 25 mph.

Lucky for Bolt, living in Jamaica, he may not run the risk of an embarrassing defeat by a wild rabbit.

Animals that Usain Bolt can outrun include the Black Mamba, a wild turkey, squirrel, domestic pig, chicken and a rat which ran speeds of between 20mph and 8mph.
