DP Gachagua gives governors two weeks to verify Sh159 billion pending bills

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has given governors two weeks to verify pending bills currently standing at Sh159 billion before payments begin.
The DP at the same time said Treasury will release Sh33.3bn April allocation to counties by Friday and May disbursement of Sh31.4bn to be cleared on June 19.
Counties are owed Sh94bn for April, May and June.
