  • President Xi Jinping told his African colleagues that China would be pumping another Sh6 trillion into Africa.
  • This amount is twice what Japan, through a similar programme called Ticad.
  • Africa is the biggest recipient of China’s foreign aid, taking nearly 52 percent of it between 2000 and 2012.

The dust on the Focus on China-Africa Co-operation (Focac) Summit held in Beijing earlier this month may have died down.
