152 more contract Covid-19, Kenya's caseload now 36,981

Kenya's Covid-19 caseload has increased by 152 to 36,981 after the analysis of 2,224 samples over the last 24 hours.
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, in the status report on Sunday, said that number of samples raised the total tested in the country to 516,706.
Mr Kagwe reported that 110 more patients had recovered and that two more had succumbed to the virus, raising the counts to 23,887 and 648 respectively.
Thirty nine of the recovered patients were in the home-based care programme and 71 at health facilities across the country.
Nairobi accounted for 34 of the new patients, Mombasa 24, Kisii 20, Kiambu and Kisumu 19 each and Nakuru 10.
Turkana County recorded eight new Covid-19 cases, Kajiado three, Kakamega, Meru and Embu two each and Kericho, Marsabit, Nyamira, Samburu, Siaya, Uasin Gishu, Taita Taveta, Machakos and Murang'a one each.
One hundred and thirty five of the new patients were Kenyans and the rest foreigners, 84 male and 68 female, and the youngest three years old and the oldest 89.
