Chidi Benz off to Rehab

Good news, Chidi Benz fans. The rapper is in rehab and will hopefully be on the road to recovery and good health.

This is after popular manager Babu Tale offered to take him to rehab. The Tanzanian rapper has had a public struggle with drug abuse ever since he was caught with drugs at Julius Nyerere Airport in Dar el Salaam. Speaking to Ayo TV, Tale said that after seeing Chidi Benz’s deteriorating health, he thought he had HIV.

“I honestly thought he had HIV, or maybe his liver had failed. I took him to hospital where he had a full medical checkup”.

Tale, who stressed that he has never been Chidi Benz’s manager, said the decision to take him to rehab was purely out of genuine concern.

“I was touched as a parent, as a Tanzanian, as a veteran in the music industry. Chidi Benz is struggling because of drugs. After seeing the cruelty in people posting his before-and-after photos, I called and told him I wanted to help him, but only if he was really ready to be helped. He said: “I’m ready, help me”.
