Alarm raised on gay, lesbian prostitutes in Nyeri

Nyeri County Commissioner Michael ole Tilal has raised the alarm on the rising numbers of gay and lesbian prostitutes.

Mr Tilal, speaking to the Nation said the trend had been on the rise in recent weeks in areas around Majengo slums and along Kimathi Street in Nyeri town centre.

According to the commissioner, gay and lesbian sex workers have been targeting popular joints and taxi operators in the town.

Mr Tilal said the behaviour was against their values and they would work around the clock to restore them.
