National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula has declared Kenya Kwanza as the majority party with 165 MPs, while ruling that Azimio remains minority party with 154 MPs.

This comes days after the High Court ruled that Mr Wetang’ula’s declaration of Kenya Kwanza Alliance as the Majority Party was unconstitutional.

The bombshell court ruling was a blow to President William Ruto's UDA Party.

A three-judge bench comprising Justices John Chigiti, Lawrence Mugambi and Jairus Ngaah found that Mr wetang'ula violated the Constitution by making the determination without sufficient legal basis.
