FKF Caretaker Committee has its plate full

We must admit that our football is floating precariously in stormy waters. We are now in uncertain territory and we are well aware of the potential troubles it shall cause to our cash-strapped teams and the sad players.
The only reason why we urge those that are directly affected to persevere is because we seem to be on the right path.
Football Kenya Federation officials who were suspended by the Ministry of Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed are a hardened lot. They only see the whole problem through their stomachs! They only feel that food is being taken from their children’s mouths; they have no other regret.
Immediately their organisation was temporarily disbanded and a Caretaker Committee formed, they rushed to court to stop the new body from working.
It is their narrow right to go to court. We respect that. The High Court did not grant any interim orders. A ruling on this matter will be delivered by the High Court on December 16.
While we wait for that date of fate, the Caretaker Committee remains in charge and our various leagues will resume this coming weekend. We just trudge on with the clearest of conscience.
We must inform this committee that there is a lot to be done. They must know that the lower leagues have to pay the referees before their matches and that FKF never bothered much with them as long as they paid FKF!
They must see all the rot and stench that emanated from that musty soccer body is cleaned with the strongest sanitisers available.
Broadcaster StarTimes that was sponsoring the league has also pulled out citing the fact that FKF had failed to execute the agreement as stated occasioned by different acts of commission or omission. Those criminal suspects were very disruptive!
Some weeks ago we highlighted the skewed matches that would be broadcasted by that respectable pay TV channel. That was not the doing of StarTimes but the biased work of the FKF brigade. The league matches are thus going to be played in total darkness!
The committee must thus seek out another broadcaster and save the teams from the cash drought from that fallout. They must lobby the government through the same ministry that appointed them to allow fans to attend the matches by lifting the Covid-19 protocols.
The raging debate in the soccer lovers’ portals has been centred upon the composition of the Committee. Many would have preferred that it be filled up with former footballers et cetera. We do, on the other hand wish it was filled up with people who know nothing at all about football and everything about management!
What we have been lacking is actually management and that is what is important.
Lastly, we caution the committee on the love for sitting allowances. They must not drain us further by paying themselves allowances as if they sit on nails like fakirs. If they do that, we shall barb them too!
