Kakamega High School on Friday lifted the East Africa Secondary School Games rugby 15s titles after collecting the most points in the event played in a round robin format.

Kakamega completed an unbeaten run at the games dispatching Hanna of Uganda 15-9 in their last fixture to finish on 16 points.

Namilyango of Uganda finished second with 15 points. Compatriots Hanna secured third spot on 11 points, same as Bungoma High of Kenya, but with a better points difference.

On their way to the title, Kakamega saw off Bungoma High 21-9, Moi Sirgoi 10-9 and Namilyango 15-9.

On the same day, Kenya’s Kamusinga High School lifted the boys’ hockey title despite drawing 1-1 with Kakungulu Memorial School of Uganda in their last match.

Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka was on hand to celebrate Kamusinga’s win.
