This year’s Tusker Malt Uganda Open golf championship at the 71 Entebbe Golf Club course tees off at 7am Wednesday following Tuesday’s Pro-Am.

A field of 96 pros including 32 Kenyans are drawn in this year’s tournament that is part of the Kenya Open Golf Limited-owned Safari Tour.

Event reigning champion Zimbabwe’s Robson Chinhoi, will be looking to again bag the top prize money of USsh22.5 million and also secure a also a place in next year’s 2022 Magical Kenya Open.

“The course is looking lovely, and I am prepared to have a go, ’’ said Chinhoi after his practise session.

Other top contenders include Uganda’s Deo Akope, past champions Dismas Indiza of Kenya and Joshua Seale of South Africa.

Also drawn is Nigeria’s Andrew Odoh, Greg Snow, Samuel Njoroge, Alfred Nandwa, Zambia’s Sydney Wemba, Zimbabwe’s Visitor Mapwanya and Justus Madoya.
