Remember me? Wycliffe Ochomo lands deal in Belarus

Former Bandari FC striker Wycliffe Ochomo left the country on Wednesday for Belarus where he is to sign for Belarusian Premier League side FC Isloch.

Speaking to Nation Sport on phone as he prepared to leave the country at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Ochomo said he was happy to see his dream of playing professional football overseas come a reality.

"I'm at the airport waiting to leave for Belarus where I'm going to join a premier league club, FC Isloch," he said.

Ochomo said his main goal is to help his new team do well in the 2020-2021 season. The club finished seventh last season.

"After being dropped by Bandari last season, I remained unattached and trained on my own until the Belarusian club's scouts became interested when they watched my videos,” the Kenyan international said.

“I’m going to Minsk in Belarus to prove my worth. I thank God for giving me this opportunity," the former Congo United, Muhoroni Youth and Ulinzi Stars Stars striker added.
