Gor Mahia unveil new coach Sinisa Mihic

Champions Gor Mahia have unveiled Croatian Sinisa Mihic as their new head coach. The 21-time Kenyan champions announced the arrival of the 48-year-old, Uefa Pro License coach holder on their social media handles on Monday.
He replaces K’Ogalo’s old boy Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno, who has served as interim coach since November 13 following the sacking of Brazilian coach Leonardo Neiva due to poor performance.
With this development, Otieno returns to his previous role as assistant coach alongside Michael Nam.
“We are pleased to announce Sinisa Mihic from Croatia as our new head coach; to be assisted by Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno and Michael Nam,” posted K’Ogalo on their social media pages. Mihic faces the daunting task of guiding Gor to successfully defend the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF-PL) title.

Born in the seaport city, of Rijeka in Croatia, he honed his coaching skills with youth teams in the Southeast European country.
According to transfermarkt.com, Mihic’s coaching career has taken him to Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Libya, and Sudan.
His last work station was at four-time Kuwait Premier League champions Al-Salmiya Sporting Club where he served as an assistant coach for just 16 days (February 12, 2022 to February 28, 2022).
He previously served as head coach of Croatian sides, NK Crikvenica, Al-Shabaab, and Al-Fahaheel SC. Mihic has also coached Al-Ahli Saudi FC of Saudi Arabia, while as an assistant coach, he handled Libyan side Al-Nasr SC and Al-Merrikh SC of Sudan.
