Former player Harold Ndege named new FKF CEO

FKF CEO Harold Ndege.

Former footballer Harold Ndege has been appointed  Football Kenya Federation Chief Executive Officer.

FKF said in a statement on Friday that Ndege’s appointment had been approved by its National Executive Committee.

The former Tusker defender replaces Patrick Korir, who resigned earlier this month after serving on an interim basis since October 2024.

FKF president Hussein Mohammed welcomed Ndege’s appointment, expressing confidence in his leadership.

“Harold Ndege has his work cut out for him, and we are pleased to have finalized this process,” said Hussein.

“His experience in both football administration and management will be crucial in steering FKF forward. I would also like to extend my gratitude to Patrick Korir for his professionalism and dedication during this transition period. To ensure a smooth handover, Korir will continue guiding the incoming CEO in the coming weeks.”

Former Wazito CEO Dennis Gicheru, Collins Bob Otieno and Sarah Migwi were also in contention for the position.

Ndege brings a wealth of experience from both the private and public sectors, having spent over 13 years in various managerial roles.

He currently serves as the vice chairman of the East Africa Pamoja AFCON 2027 and CHAN 2025 Finance Committee.

As CEO, Ndege will be responsible for overseeing FKF’s daily operations, with a key focus on improving governance, financial management, and operational efficiency.
