  • Exultant (Zac Purton 3-1), returned to former glory in the QEII Cup under specialist handling.

Southern Legend (Vincent Ho 7-1), made waves with Beauty Generation (Zac Purton 6-1), all the way to their Celebration Cup destination at Sha Tin on Sunday.

However, Vincent Ho managed to tweak a short-head out of Southern Legend shelving Beauty Generation's opportunity to become the most winning horse in Hong Kong's documentated archives.

Trainer David Hayes, was happy with the result, but still distraught as he nearly lost his precious dog to a bamboo viper bite, earlier in the week. Beauty Generation is hailed as one of the best ever seen in Hong, with eighteen successes already.

Facing facts, he also had to concede 17lbs to his younger rival. It was just luck of the bobbing head. Ratan and the other eight runners, were hardly mentioned.

Exultant (Zac Purton 3-1), returned to former glory in the QEII Cup under specialist handling. A compensative win after Beauty Generation's whiskering defeat. Zac Purton is currently in a tight duel with Joao Moreira for the Jockey's title.

He has a rare accolade of having cropped every Group 1 race in Hong Kong, which is a major credit on the most difficult course to ride. Conditioned by Tony Cruz, who himself won the French Oaks, Irish St Leger, British and Irish Champion's Stakes as a rider, Exultant debased Furore, and Eagle Way.

As possibly the best stayer around, Exultant might aim for next month's Longines Hong Kong Vase over 2,400m. The QE11 Cup was 2,000m, and Exhultant could have gone around again.

Godolphin's Racing operation and trainer Brad Cox decided to run Shared Sense in the Oklahoma Derby, instead of Kentucky. It was a good move as his maturity levels were not quite up to par.

Shared Sense (Richard Eramia 9-5) collared Mo Mosa and Liam at Remington Park Oklahoma City, over 1 1/8 miles in 1:49:8/10.

Rowdy Yates and Dean Martini, gave out some strong vibes at one stage, but then faded to nowhere.
