A legislator from the Rift Valley had the ignominy of having to conduct an impromptu harambee to raise money to clear some financial issues with a beauty he had some good time with recently.

The second-term legislator thought he had budgeted well for the occasion with Sh10,000 until he was confronted with a huge bill that he was required to settle. When the beauty demanded 50 times that amount, he thought she was crazy. He placed the Sh10,000 into the girl’s palms and tried to walk away but unbeknown to him, the girl had recorded everything and threatened to share the video clip.

To show that she meant business, she shared the clip to Mheshimiwa’s phone. Beaten, the man decided to call for help in raising the funds to silence the lady.

Unionist under siege over beach house

A trade unionist is a man under siege following protests by locals around his newly constructed home at the Coast who claim he has fenced off a public beach thus denying them an opportunity to use the seashore.

The locals claim the man who boasts of being "larger than life" has been using police to threaten local activists and residents planning public protests against him. They say their efforts to reach out to the Cabinet Secretary for Environment Keriako Tobiko to intervene has been futile and now want President Uhuru Kenyatta to help them reclaim the beach.

Senator lets down his students

 A senator who lectures in one of the renowned private universities is just about to cost his students who have to pay for a special exam for a unit they sat two years ago but whose results are yet to be released.

The man has been promising his students every moment they approached him to ask for their marks but delivers nothing. What is sickening to the students is that this case is not an isolated one. Efforts to have the university management intervene seem to have hit a brick wall with students now resigning to fate as the lecturer appears untouchable.

Coast governor a worried man

A governor in one of the counties at the Coast is a worried man. Reason? He feels he has made a lot of political miscalculations that would ruin his future. In an attempt to redeem his image, he recently reached out to President Uhuru Kenyatta to help reunite him with his former boss. Even though the former boss has no issues with him, Talk of Town is rife with information that his colleague from the same region is opposed to any move to work with him and has demanded he dissolves his current outfit if at all he wants their support.

MP angry over missed opportunity

A Nairobi MP, known for his crowd-pulling theatrics, was left angry and forced to throw epithets at the emcee of last week’s Azimio la Umoja Convention at Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani. The first-term MP had mobilised his supporters and placed them at strategic positions near the podium where they were to chant and sing in his praise, demanding that he addresses the crowd. It was never to be for the MP as the emcee stuck tightly on the script, ignoring the many calls by the rowdy crowd that their man addresses the gathering. Feeling ignored, the MP unleashed a long text message full of unprintables to the emcee who he accused of undermining his career.

CEO dumps money-hungry MPs

 Members of a committee of the National Assembly are livid with a parastatal chief in the infrastructure sector. They accuse the CEO of playing them. The CEO has been a regular client of the committee where he constantly sought favours and paid huge bribes to the MPs in return. But all that changed after he was handed a term extension months ago. He abandoned the pretence and has refused to pick calls of any members of the committee. With another term in the bag, the CEO feels he doesn’t need the MPs as most of them will not be re-elected, a position that has angered the MPs who promise to make his life unbearable when he appears to defend his budget.
