Kenya records two cases of new South Africa coronavirus variant

Kenya has recorded two cases of the new coronavirus variant first seen in South Africa.

The acting director general of health at the Ministry of Health Patrick Amoth said Wednesday that the asymptomatic patients have since left the country.

Scientists have said that the new coronavirus strain identified in South Africa appears to be more transmissible than earlier variants.
