AU tells Security Council of ‘grave concern’ over pay cut for Amisom soldiers

  • The European Union covers the full cost of payments to Amisom soldiers through contributions it makes to the AU.

The head of the African Union Mission in Somalia expressed “grave concern” on Thursday regarding the European Union’s recent 20 per cent cut in payments for Amisom troops.
