What you need to know:

  • Even though Kraft Konnect officially opened its doors at the start of the year, the three co-founders have always been friends and had been making crafts for several years prior.

  • Timothy and Beatrice are graduates of Psychology from Moi University while James is a TVET graduate.

  • “We work with many artisans in our networks. This means the products we sell are not only made by the three of us,” Timothy explains.

In 2021, Timothy Gathoni, 25, came together with two of his friends, James Wanjau and Beatrice Muthoni, to form Kraft Konnect, which specialises in making items such as pen holders, toothbrushes, key holders, and bone accessories such as rings, salt shakers, ashtrays, smoking pipes and sugar dishes. They also make beaded bracelets, earrings, chokers, customised notebooks – basically, anything you can find in a curio shop.
