Gangsters escape with Sh2M from Chinese

Two Chinese men were on Tuesday evening robbed of Sh2 million in Ngorongo Road in Karen.

The two, Xie Wen Ping, 36, and Tang Zueng Jung, 46, were from a bank when their vehicle was blocked by another saloon car with three armed occupants.

They hit the two men, robbed them and then drove away in the grey BMW, leaving the victims with serious head injuries.

Mr Ping and Mr Jung were discovered on the roadside and rushed to the Karen Hospital where they were treated and discharged.

Their vehicle was however later recovered near Lenana Forest Primary School.

A fortnight ago, armed thugs robbed Chinese workers of over Sh7million along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.

The robbers, who were allegedly dressed as police officers, confronted the victims near Karai trading center, Naivasha before escaping with the money.

Naivasha deputy OCPD Paul Korir said the Chinese men were driving from Nairobi and the cash was to pay workers in Olkaria.
