Turkana MPs have alleged that Governor Josphat Nanok is misusing public funds and urged President Uhuru Kenyatta or his deputy, William Ruto, to send a team to investigate the allegations.

Christopher Nakuleu (Turkana North), James Lomenen (Turkana South), and Protus Akuja (Loima) publicly made the allegations on Saturday during fund raising for Loima Girls Secondary School in Loima sub-county.

Mr. Nakuleu alleged that the governor had shared with the Finance executive Sh20 million meant for buying official cars.

Mr Nanok described the allegations as slanderous and empty politics.

“We will deal administratively and legally with allegations of theft. If they have proof they have judicial process and security organs to go to,” he said.
