Karanja wins the biggest jackpot bonus on Betsafe

George Karanja, a Kinangop-based farmer, won Ksh40 million, the biggest jackpot bonus in the just concluded Betsafe Super Jackpot campaign.

The dairy farmer was among 10 finalists competing for the grand prize in a live draw conducted on NTV’s Jamdown. The finalists had been randomly picked over a three-week period from different parts of the country, having met the minimum requirements.

Karanja had been selected as the seventh finalist in the run-up to the May 21 draw. After the first eight finalists were eliminated during the draw, Karanja was left to battle it out with Mutai Kipkoech, an accountant resident in Nakuru. In a tense moment, the draw machine picked Karanja’s number as the ultimate winner. Visibly overwhelmed with emotion, Karanja dropped to his knees as his friend joined him.

“I’m beyond happy. This is the best news you can get. I have plans to expand my dairy business and start two or three more farms,” he said.

Karanja had qualified for the final draw after getting 11 correct predictions and having been randomly selected from among the eligible players.
