Since its inception, AfriCDSA has reached several significant milestones. “Four years ago, we embarked on a mission to bridge the skills gap in Africa's job market and empower organisations through data-driven solutions,” says CEO Xaviour Aluku. “The organisation has successfully graduated over 1,500 students, providing them with industry-accredited courses that have a global reach.”
Despite the rapid advancements in technology, the educational infrastructure in many African countries struggles to keep pace. This discrepancy leaves many young Africans unemployed or underemployed.
According to a report by TechCabal, a staggering 140 million youths, approximately 31 percent of the African youth population between the ages of 15 and 35, are unemployed and discouraged. AfriCDSA addresses this issue with its tech-based learning programmes designed to meet industry standards and requirements, ensuring youth are well-equipped with the right skills needed to enter the job market.
Watching AfriCDSA’s documentary, one can only marvel at the transformative impact of the organisation's programmes. Christopher Mukuwa, a Certified Data Scientist and AfriCDSA’s former student from Zambia, praises the high-quality, industry-aligned courses and the continuous support from instructors. “The instructors were amazing, and even after completing my course, I remain in contact with the team for potential collaborations,” he shares.
