Cyclone Hidaya: Mombasa Governor Nassir suspends beach outings

Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir has issued a directive suspending beach outings and fishing expeditions until midnight Monday in anticipation of cyclone Hidaya said to be headed for the Kenyan coast.

Mr Nassir asked hotel management to take responsibility for persons within their hotels until Monday Midnight when they will reassess the impact of the cyclone.

He further urged those with boreholes to ensure they are all covered.
